Innovative strategies for the protection of natural resources and the reduction of the agriculture environmental impact through the definition and implementation of strategies for the sustainable use and protection of water, soil, and agroecosystems. The extensive partnership aims to promote the development of innovative technologies in the agricultural sector, improving the quantity and quality of production while ensuring sustainable adaptation to climate change.

Objectives and expected results

The activities include the identification, production, and structural characterization of natural biomolecules capable of protecting agriculturally relevant plants from biotic and abiotic stress.

Project proponents and involved entities

The National Center for Agricultural Technologies (AGRITECH) is an initiative promoted by the University of Naples Federico II, which serves as the proposing entity and coordinates the project. The consortium involves a total of 51 participants, including 28 universities, 3 public research institutions, 5 private entities, and 15 companies.
